Delete your CC Ride account and data
This page explains how to request deletion of your CC Ride account — as a passenger, driver, or corporate employee — and exactly what happens to your data afterwards. You can request this whether or not you still have the app installed.
How to request deletion
Option 1 — In the app
Open CC Ride → Account → Delete Account, confirm, and your account is immediately deactivated (you're signed out and can no longer be booked or matched). This starts the deletion process below.
Option 2 — By email (no app install required)
Email hello@ccride.ng from the email address on your account (or include your registered phone number) with the subject "Account Deletion Request". We verify it's really you, then process the request the same way as an in-app request.
- Request submitted (in-app or by email) and your identity verified.
- Account deactivated immediately — profile hidden, no further rides, matching, or notifications.
- Data eligible for deletion is permanently erased within 30 days.
- Data we're legally required to keep is retained only for the periods below, then deleted.
What's deleted
Erased permanently within 30 days of a confirmed request.
- × Name, email, phone number, profile photo, date of birth, bio
- × Government ID numbers (NIN / passport) and uploaded ID/license documents
- × Saved vehicles and bank/payout account details
- × Live and historical GPS location data
- × Push-notification/device tokens, login sessions, in-app notifications
- × Referral code and any pending (unclaimed) invites
What's retained, and for how long
A small set of records are kept after deletion because Nigerian tax, financial, and consumer-safety rules require it. Everything below is deleted once its retention period ends.

If your account is under a corporate/organisation plan
Your personal profile and location data are deleted the same way as any other account. Your employer's own trip, spend, and billing records tied to your rides are retained under the schedule above, since they belong to the organisation's financial and audit records, not to you individually.
